East Garden City is a hamlet located in the Town of Hempstead in Nassau County, New York. It is approximately 18 miles east of New York City, and has a population of about 6,000 people. The hamlet is bordered by Westbury to the north and east, Hempstead to the south, and Uniondale to the west.
